Nominate a Club to receive £150
The Nominate a Club Program aims to support grass roots cricket and is managed by
Cricket Investor in association with its business partner Wells Farm Fine Foods. The first round of the scheme led to the nomination of 33 clubs in England across 14 counties, one of which will receive a gift of £150 and a donation of the high quality fresh produce from Wells Farm from the Marquess of Abergavenny's Estate in Kent.
The officials and members of nominated clubs will also receive gratis a year's subscription to the TheDraft magazine, Cricket Investor's quarterly insight into the World of the Business of Cricket and regular email updates of the work carried out by Cricket Investor and other organisations to develop the game and to empower individuals and communities across the world.
The clubs will be assessed across a number of criteria including the state of the ground, support for womens cricket, children and youth policies, disabled access, sustainability and engagement with the community.
The winner of the first donation in 2020 will be presented by Michael Lambert, chairman of Wells Farms Fine Foods, suppliers of high quality produce to many cricket clubs in England including the MCC and the Lords Taverners.
The winning club will be profiled in the following edition of The Draft after the award.
